Throughout our history the sun played an important role in the cultural life of humans around the globe.

In this section we will collect tales about the sun: how differently our central star was preceived, what meaning it had in people's everyday life and how a scientific understanding has been developed.
Did you know, there lives a rabbit on the moon!

We will present you this and other lunar stories from all over the world.
Since the first time humans looked up to the stars at night, they saw patterns in the brightest stars and gave them names and thus found the constellations. But what they saw was influenced by their culture and their position on earth.

Here we want to collect the different tales about our universe - ancient greek mythology, aboriginal tales, nordic sagas, asian stories and many more.

Alexander Adrowitzer (twitter: @adrowitzer) studied astronomy and physics, received a master in theoretical physics and a PhD in computer science. His great passion is the night sky. He works as a lecturer and researcher for data science at the university of applied sciences in St. Poelten, Austria.
Margot Heinrici studied international business relations and is the creative mind behind this project. She is responsible for the illustrations on this page. Our future goal is to produce a childrens book with sky tales, which she will promote.
